Arts of Bear Valley featured artists for the month are Sandra Maurer and Pat Rohovit. Maurer paints local scenes and florals in watercolor. The Hi 4-H Haunted House ?Realms of Darkness? will be open for eight evening performances at 7 p.m. today through Oct. 31 in the red barn behind J.S. West at 730 S. Washington St. in Sonora. Admission is $6. The Haunted House is staged by Tuolumne County 4-H teens for other teens and young adults and is meant to be scary. Evening performances are not recommended for young children. There will be a matinee with lights on, suitable for younger children with an adult, on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. for $1. The Haunted House is wheelchair accessible. All proceeds benefit the Hi 4-H teen program. Revamp Costume Crafternoon, a free Halloween craft and swap using recyclables, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Good gallery at 1 E. Linoberg St. in Sonora. People can recycle a tote bag into a one-of-a-kind trick-or-treat bag. Leftover costume pieces can be shared and swapped with others.
