Legends launches iSculpt? | The Fitness Blogger Network

Legends Personal Trainer Leon Gabbidon has been developing this new innovative fitness technique for over 5 years. After studying a Masters degree at Leeds Met University, a successful basketball career, and winning his first international body building competition he has now developed and launched the iSculpt? concept.
?
iSculpt??is a training mechanism that allows your body to be pushed through progressive exercise techniques using bursts of High Intensity Interval Training combined with modelled body sculpting exercises. This puts your body in shock mode working compound muscle groups, with limited fatigue, gaining muscle definition, melting fat and improving performance in a fraction of the normal time.
?
The Birmingham born fitness guru is now based at Manchester city centre Soho gym, where he regularly trains an eclectic mix of clients, from corporate boot camp team building sessions, Olympic athletes, doctors, physiotherapists, to individual personal training for gym fanatics and other personal trainers looking to take their fitness regime to the next level.
The way the human body looks is a direct reflection of its diet, exercise and lifestyle. iSculpt? incorporates athletic training, with all the benefits of HIIT and implements them into bite size high intensity training. And provides a healthy eating plan to complement the demands of the training.
?
All candidates have different goals and training abilities which is why each individual is given a bespoke programme to achieve new movement patterns, and as a result their body is able to increase workload or volume. iSculpt? is a unique form of training that can be incorporated into everyday activities. The training is developed in cycles and each candidate will work differently to their peers.
?
It?s common for most people to fail when they reach a plateau that they can?t break through. The cause for this is known as ?the limiting factor?. iSculpt? pre-empts this limiting factor early and is designed to build gains more rapidly and push you through into the next cycle. This is when you start to see optimum results.
Leon says,

?Your body is the most sophisticated, efficient piece of equipment you will ever own! Its ability to react to new stimuli is incredible. The more you understand about anatomy and physiology, the more you will be in awe of what the human body can do.?

iSculpt? sessions are never the same, keeping the regime fun and functional. The wide variety of sets, repetitions, speeds, weights and resistance have made iSculpt? the final fitness concept the industry will need. Just 12 weeks using the iSculptTM method will physiologically change your body, shape and fitness levels for a lifetime.

Trendrr tracks Facebook TV chatter as Twitter expands its TV ad targeting

Trendrr

Trendrr has been analysing Facebook chatter around specific TV shows in the US

The television no longer has the undivided attention of a growing proportion of British viewers, judging by the 62% of UK internet users who say they use their smartphone or tablet while watching TV.

Many of those second-screeners are using social networks like Facebook and Twitter, with both companies keen to capitalise on the trend, and encourage broadcasters and brands to do more to engage audiences on the services.

Twitter bought social TV analytics startup Bluefin Labs earlier this year with that aim in mind, but now Facebook has worked with rival startup Trendrr to analyse TV-related chatter on its service.

Among the findings published on Trendrr's blog are the claim that "the volume of Facebook user engagement relating to television programming was 5 times as large as all other social networks combined" ? a clear shot across Twitter's bows.

The US-focused research claims that drama and comedy TV shows were particularly popular on Facebook, but live events saw "dramatically higher levels of activity over other social networks ? something that may be surprising for some marketers who view Facebook as a platform mostly for extended conversation".

Trendrr says it is planning to work on further research with Facebook, including possibly integrating its data into the startup's Social TV Rankings charts, and helping broadcasters and brands to measure the conversation around their shows and advertisements, and compare it to engagement elsewhere.

News of the Facebook/Trendrr partnership came as Twitter launched its TV ad targeting service in the US, following a two-month beta test.

The service aims to help brands synchronise their paid-for "promoted" tweets with ads airing on TV, including targeting those tweets at people who've been tweeting about the show during which they aired, and who thus will be likely to have seen the ad.

Twitter TV Ads dashboard Twitter's TV Ads dashboard now has more analytics for brands

"The results of the beta test reveal that the impact of using Twitter in combination with TV advertising is significantly greater than that of using TV advertising alone," claimed Bluefin Labs founder Michael Fleischman, now working at Twitter in a product role.

"In our tests over the last few months with brands like Adidas, Holiday Inn Express, Jaguar, and Samsung, advertisers using TV ad targeting saw significant improvements to key brand metrics, such as message association and purchase intent."

Twitter is also launching a new set of analytics in its TV Ads dashboard for brands, helping them to examine in greater depth what Twitter users are saying about their advertisements.

Both Facebook and Twitter have been heavily courting the TV and advertising industries in recent years, pitching the merits of their platforms.

For example, in April at the MIPTV conference, Twitter's UK head of broadcast partnerships Dan Biddle claimed that "40% of tweets in the UK during peak-time television hours are about television", and advised broadcasters to "think about programming Twitter as you programme your channel."

NFL's substance abuse and performance-enhancing drugs policies

Roger Goodell (Associated Press file)

The NFL has separate policies covering substance abuse and performance-enhancing drugs. The two policies differ in enforcement. A look:

In the PED policy, players are tested at the scouting combine before their rookie seasons. Once they are in the league, players can be tested in the offseason, during the season and in the postseason.

A positive test results in an immediate four-game suspension.

Players can appeal the suspension within five business days of receiving "notice of discipline" from NFL.

The first positive test for a "substance of abuse" results in the player formally entering an enhanced testing/treatment program, where the player is tested more frequently.

A second positive test results in the player entering the "stages of intervention" outlined in the policy. "Stage 1" is the first stage in the policy and includes the player being referred to a "Regional Team" for his treatment. In Stage 1, the player can be tested as many times as the league's "Medical Director" desires to "adequately evaluate the player."

A positive test while in Stage 1 can result in a fine equal to three weeks of a player's pay and results in entrance to Stage 2.

A player remains under Stage 1 guidelines for 90 days, but the league's Medical Director can extend that time up to six months.

In Stage 2, players are subject to unannounced testing up to 10 times a month. A positive test while in Stage 2 or failure to comply with the treatment program results in a fine equal to four game checks and a four-game suspension.

Six-game suspensions are also possible in Stage 2.

Players can appeal the fine and suspension within five business days of receiving the "notice of discipline."

Players remain in Stage 2 for two full seasons or 24 consecutive months, whichever is shorter.

Players move to Stage 3 if they have two positive tests when in Stage 2 or one positive test to go with one instance when the player failed to comply with the program.

Players who are placed into Stage 3 remain in Stage 3 for the remainder of their careers.

The minimum suspension for a violation in Stage 3 is a calendar year.?

Here in the UK we have a product called Marmite. It is a deeply divisive food, which you either love or hate. Those who love it, cannot understand how anyone could live without it - and of course, the opposite is true for those who hate it!
This same sentiment could be applied to volume as a trading indicator.
In other words, you are likely to fall into one of two camps. You either believe it works, or you don't. It really is that simple. There is no halfway house here!I make no bones about the fact that I believe I was lucky in starting my own trading journey using volume. To me it just made sense, and the logic of what it revealed was inescapable. And for me, the most powerful reason is very simple. Volume is a rare commodity in trading - a leading indicator. The second, and only other leading indicator, is price. Everything else is lagged. +info.

Gloria Allred represents woman who is suing Mayor Filner for sexual harassment (Video)

According to Politico on Monday, Gloria Alldred ? the famed lawyer who represents clients in high-profile cases ? is representing Irene McCormack Jackson who is in the process of suing San Diego Mayor Bob Filner for sexual harassment. The lawsuit was revealed on Monday at an Allred-styled press conference.

Gloria Allred represents Sharon Bialek in the Herman Cain sexual harassment case

The plaintiff, Irene McCormack Jackson ? who was formerly a reporter who resigned from her job as a communications director in June - said that she is now stepping forward to lay the blame at the feet of the person responsible for sexual harassment ? the San Diego mayor, Bob Filner. After speaking about the alleged-harassment by Filner, she said that he is not fit to be mayor of San Diego or fit to hold any public office.

Though Mayor Filner has been accused of sexual harassment in the recent past by a good number of women, anonymously, Irene McCormack Jackson is said to be the first woman to step forward and make the accusations directly against the San Diego mayor.

When Jackson?s attorney, Gloria Allred had her say, she stated that the mayor had asked Jackson to work without her panties on. Additionally, the mayor allegedly put Jackson in a headlock and told her that he wanted to ?consummate? their relationship. According to the report, there were other sexual harassment incidents displayed as well.

According to Ms. Jackson, women were viewed by the mayor as sexual objects or stupid idiots. She also said that his behavior made her feel ashamed, frightened and violated.

Attorney Allred not only said that there were witnesses to the harassment, but she went as far as to ask Mayor Filner to resign his elected office. She also encouraged other females who have been sexually harassed by the mayor to step forward. Allred claims that silence on the matter only favors the wrongdoer and not the victim. In terms of other victims, Allred said that others have contacted her office now that the first woman has stepped forward and filed a lawsuit.

As for Mayor Filner, his response on Monday was that he does not believe the claims are valid, and that is why ? he says ? due process is so important. He asserted that he intends to defend himself vigorously, knowing that justice will prevail. He maintains that he will not resign, as persons have requested, and maintains that he is innocent of sexual harassment. However, he said that he did fail to fully respect the women who worked for him and with him.

Allred has made headlines many times in the past with her high-profile court cases. A year-and-a-half ago, Allred was at the helm of a ?headlined? case in which she represented Sharon Bialek, the woman who accused presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment. In those accusations, Cain ultimately quit the presidential race.

Stocks flat after mixed earnings reports

Stocks closed mostly lower Tuesday, but only slightly.?Encouraging and discouraging reports seemed evenly matched, leaving the stock market flat.

Traders work on the floor at the New York Stock Exchange, Tuesday. Better earnings from big banks, health insurers and other companies have helped drive stocks higher this month.

Uneven corporate earnings news left the?stock?market flat on Tuesday.

Most major indexes closed slightly lower, except for the Dow Jones industrial average. Yet even there the gain was due to the increase in one?stock, United Technologies.

Better earnings from big banks, health insurers and other companies have helped drive the?stock?market higher this month. On Tuesday, however, the encouraging and the discouraging seemed evenly matched. Wendy's and United Technologies surged after posting stronger results than financial analysts expected. Netflix and the Altria Group, maker of Marlboro cigarettes, sank after their results fell short.

"In the absence of major economic news, the focus is on earnings this week," said David Joy, chief market strategist at Ameriprise Financial. "And there's nothing today to drive the market dramatically one way or another."

The Dow rose 22.19 points, or 0.1 percent, to 15,567.74. If not for a 3 percent gain in United Technologies, the Dow would have closed down a point.

United Technologies rose $3.01 to $105.12 after the conglomerate said strong orders for commercial airline parts and elevators helped lift its profit.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 3.14 points, or 0.2 percent, to 1,692.39. The Nasdaq composite fell 21.11 points, or 0.6 percent, to 3,579.27.

It was a busy day for earnings as 35 companies in the S&P 500 were scheduled to turn in results. The second-quarter scorecard looks good so far. More than six out of every 10 companies have posted earnings that surpassed Wall Street's expectations, according to S&P Capital IQ.

Analysts forecast that second-quarter earnings for companies in the S&P 500 increased 3.8 percent over the same period last year.

"The bar has been set pretty low," said Joel Huffman, senior portfolio manager at U.S. Bank Wealth Management. So, it's hardly a surprise that many companies are able to jump over it, he said.

Sales are another story. Analysts expect revenue to shrink 0.7 percent in the second quarter. Huffman said he's encouraged that many banks and makers of consumer-discretionary goods have reported stronger U.S. sales. "It's an indication of the underlying growth in the U.S. economy versus other parts of the world," he said.

Apple rose $19.52, or 4.7 percent, to $438.71 in after-hours trading, when the company reported earnings and revenue that beat Wall Street's forecasts.

Among other?stocks?making big moves:

? Wendy's jumped 55 cents, or 8.2 percent, to $7.23. The fast-food company's net income came in above Wall Street's expectations. Wendy's also announced plans to sell 425 restaurants as franchises and raised its quarterly dividend by a penny to 5 cents.

? Marlboro maker Altria Group said its quarterly results fell short of analysts' expectations. Altria's?stock?sank 89 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $35.99.

? Netflix dropped $11.70, or 4.5 percent, to $250.26. The company said late Monday that it signed up fewer subscribers than financial analysts had projected. Big expectations have propelled Netflix's?stock?up 170 percent since the start of the year, adding more pressure on the company to deliver amazing numbers.

In the market for U.S. government bonds, the yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.50 percent from 2.48 percent late Monday. Long-term interest rates have swung in a wide range since May, a result of traders speculating over when the Federal Reserve will begin pulling back on its bond-buying program.

The rate on the 10-year note, a benchmark for most loans, was trading at 1.61 percent on May 1. It rose as high as 2.75 percent by the second week of July.
